William Flesch
Senior Executive Vice President of Corporate Development & Treasurer
Gordon Flesch Company
Bill’s career began with an internship at Oscar Mayer, made possible by the corporate partnerships
established by his alma mater, the University of Wisconsin-Stout. After graduating UW-Stout in 1981 with
a Bachelor of Science in General Business Administration, he joined the Kohler Company as a district sales
representative. After three years, Gordon Flesch, his father and the founder of GFC, asked Bill to come
and work with him.
Under Bill’s direction, the branches in the Chicago area became the highest grossing within the company and
GFC became the largest independent office equipment provider in the region. Bill has also helped lead many of
GFC’s most important initiatives, including the recent acquisition of Advanced Systems, Inc. (ASI), expanding
GFC’s territory into Iowa, Minnesota and South Dakota.
In addition, Bill is committed to giving back to the communities in which GFC does business. GFC maintains
the Gordon Flesch Charitable Foundation, which has donated almost $2 million to charitable organizations in
the 7 states where GFC has offices.
Bill has also volunteered his time and expertise by serving on the Board of Directors and various committees
for organizations such as Northwestern Memorial Healthcare, the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation and
Wintrust Financial Corporation.
