Katy Wilder Schaaf, Ph.D. is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and works alongside her own family using governance to support the vision and values of E. Ritter & Company (ERC). ERC, founded in 1886, is a 5th generation portfolio company currently focused on agriculture and telecommunications. In her family, Katy has served as Director of Development and Engagement; she is currently the Chair of the Family Council, a Board Observer, and works with the Ownership Council and Next Generation Committee. She serves on the Family Business Magazine Advisory Board and is the Director of the Virginia Commonwealth University Family Business Forum. Katy lives in Richmond, VA where she works in her own private practice and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
