Stacy Mello is Sr. Director of Ranches and Resource Management for A. Duda & Sons, Inc., a diversified land company, headquartered in Oviedo, Florida, with agricultural and real estate operations. Mello began her career at DUDA in 1996 as a sod marketing manager. In 2004 her talents shifted to the corporate strategic planning area where she served as DUDA’s senior Director for Planning and Communication, working closely with the executive team and governance leaders. In 2018 her responsibilities moved back to business operations where she now leads Duda Ranches Sugarcane and Ranch operations.
In addition to her employment at DUDA, Mello has served on the Duda Family Council since its inception in 2004. For the past seven years she has served as Council Chair leading Council efforts to connect members of the Duda family to one another and to the business they own together.
Founded in 1926, DUDA had the good fortune to successfully transition company leadership from the third to the fourth generation in 2010. The Duda family is made up of 219 family members in the third through sixth generations. Ownership of the business is shared between 150+ minority shareholders and includes family members from the third, fourth and fifth generations.
